Two days rest

No workouts for the past two days. I did do Primary Back Stretch both days but other than that no workout. I finished my 14 day bootcamp, had two days rest and now I will be on an every other day workout schedule. Even though this is for the T-Tapp 60 day contest I believe this is a workout I can do continuously.

I did measure my waist this morning and found a half inch gone. So that makes 14 inches gone!

Monday night I made chicken and rice with Asparagus and last night was pizza night. Noah had Eric over for dinner so I made extra. Still eating the Warrior Diet way which really works for my husband and I. I did treat myself to some Chocolate in the afternoon on Monday ..you know sort of a celebration treat :)

Forgot to mention that Noah and Eric won their football tournament on Friday with 3 out of 3 wins. They did good :)

In 10 days we head out for our big camping trip :) We are camping for 3 full weeks traveling throughout the Southwest. It will be a challenge to keep up my workouts while on the road but I'm determined to do it!

Today I will do mini-max 2 and extra Hoe downs and PBS, OIP/HF with ladybugs tonight.

Above, day 1 of T-tapp contest.

Below, 2 weeks and 13.5 inches lost.

Day 13 and 14

Day 13 and 14 of my 14 day bootcamp for the T-Tapp contest was spent in the Sierra mountains camping.

We arrived around 3pm on Friday and set up camp.
This is our camping "Box" that my husband built. It has a kitchen with running hot water on demand, a toilet and a shower, with plenty of storage, solar panels and even a refrigerator.
Friday night we roasted Louisiana Hot Links for dinner. I even ate a couple of roasted marshmallows smashed between double stuff oreos and got silly on cheap merlot.
We had to fight mosquito's immediately. It was very hot and with the recent snow melt, prime conditions for them. Both myself and my son are magnets for them and bites on me can swell up like golfballs. We sprayed with Cutters but not before they had had a decent meal out of us.
I had already done my T-tapp for the day before leaving home, so I just relaxed in camp tending to itchy bites. Even with bug dope on, one found a spot on my left eyelid to bite and during the night I woke up with a swollen and itchy earlobe due to one of them! Fortunately I know of a good anti-itch ointment that works pretty good.
Saturday morning I cooked a big breakfast of hot links and Scrambled eggs, extra sausage and blueberry pancakes for the guys. I had a couple of bites off my sons plate and one sausage link and one small pancake with butter.
We headed out for a hike around 10am. We hiked up a mountain creek and found a spot where my husband could try out the gold pan he received on Fathers Day and where Noah, Lady the Dog and I could cool off. Noah dunked himself in completely in the icy water. I was happy wading along with Lady.
I was trying out a "homemade" mosquito repellent and it was working pretty good but didn't last long enough and was running for the Cutters within a couple of hours.
When we got back to camp it was 105 degrees out and we were all pretty beat. I still hadn't done my workout and was wondering how I was going to manage in the heat. But soon there were huge dark thunder clouds spouting lighting and rumbling through the air and the temperature dropped to 84 degrees. I ran into the tent and did Mini-Max 2 from memory and from notes I had taken. I was sweating so badly! Yeah! I had managed to get the workout done with no break in my Bootcamp!
I had washed my hair and was waiting for the guys to get back
from a run down the road sitting under the tarp my husband had built for shade and watched fits of hail come down. It was a welcome sight!

I was drinking a ton of Sanfuastino Mineral Water and munched on some potato chips around 4 and ate 4 oreo cookies before the guys got back.
Dinner was Tri-Trip, salad, fried potatoes, baked beans and corn. All I had an appetite for was salad and a small strip of Tri-Trip and a nice couple glasses of good merlot.
After cleaning up the dishes and putting everything in order I was so tired I had to go lie down. I ended up falling into a nice peaceful sleep and didn't wake up until early the next day.
That's me in the tent sleeping :)
We got home on Sunday and I got day 14 done around 2pm.
Sunday night I made a meal out of Shrimp, leftover tri-trip, sauteed green beans in red pepper/garlic olive oil and rice. It was delicious!
I gave myself a foot rub and lavender soak and then treated my husband to the same. Then we took turns taking a 30 minute Dead Sea Salt bath and both of us had a long relaxing sleep.

Day 12

Just finished Day 12 of my 14 day bootcamp for the T-Tapp 60 day Contest. Mini-max 2 done and extra workout for arms that can be found in the articles section.

Left shoulder is really sore today but I got through the workout ok.

Its Fun Friday and Noahs big football tournament. He is up and ready to go already and Eric should be here soon.

We head out for a weekend of camping today so my workout tomorrow will be done from Teresa Tapps book and from memory.

Wont be back until Sunday!

Day 11

Day 11 completed for my 14 day T-Tapp workout.

Wow....today was the best sweat of them all! I really didn't feel like working out with TOM visiting today but boy am I glad I did. I pushed through it and it brought my energy level back up to where it should be.

Boys are outside in the 103 degree heat running a lemonade stand. They have made only $2.00 so far so guess I'll have to go support them a little :)

Tomorrow is last day for Football camp for them and the big tournament. They are happy because they are both on the same team. The coach has become their buddy and even gave them special names. Noah is now Paul Hall and Eric is Mike Jones. They think its very cool..lol.

Tonight is shrimp and rice with broccoli and salad. Looking forward to eating since all I've had today is a few Brazil nuts and a bottle of Sanfaustino mineral water.

Going to drink wine too :)

Day 10

Workout done for my 14 day T-Tapp bootcamp.

Mini Max 2 again. Will brush and shower as soon as I cool down. Had a really nice "pop" in my middle back area today doing T-Tapp Twist. My back feels great! Shoulders are still a little sore and feel some stiffness in my neck so think a hot tub will be in order later tonight.

Will reach over 100 degrees today and I hope the boys will stay hydrated at Football Camp. Yesterday Noah intercepted a pass and made a touchdown! He was so proud! Eric did well too, making a first down on a pass he caught. They are having so much fun and I'm very proud of both of them.

Today is Summer Solstice so tonight will be a BBQ with hamburgers and French fries. Last night I insisted on going out and we went to Applebees. I had their Pecan crusted chicken salad and it was pretty good...though the chicken was a bit dry and the guys ate half of it for me. The salad though was very yummy.

I have a big basket of cherries, a tall glass of water and a book waiting for me out on the patio. Two hours of "ME" time before I go get the boys :):)

Day 9

Workout complete for day 9 of my 14 day bootcamp using T-Tapp.

Once again did Mini-Max 2. My upper arms are so sore today and it was very hard to get them to cooperate. But I got through it :) I'm really wanting a break..lol..but I'm determined to make it all the way to end of the bootcamp. I'm really looking forward to next week when I can switch over to every other day.

Last night I ate only salad as I was not feeling hungry enough to eat Pizza. But I did eat a lot of salad with a light dressing. I really need to be more mindful of drinking more water espeacilly now that the temperture will be reaching into the 100's. I do love the heat though!

Noah had his friend stay over last night and they are still both sleeping soundly. They will both want breakfast before they go to Football camp and I'll fix them something healthy. Maybe a smoothie or some scrambled eggs.

I had trouble sleeping last night...darn crickets out chirping and so darn loud and fast. We really seem to have a lot of them this year. Where are all the lizards when you need them?!

I have no idea of what I am going to fix for dinner tonight. We havent had hamburgers in awhile but I just have no desire to eat hamburger lately. So, we will see....

I'm really excited about being in the T-Tapp contest and I am so looking forward to going to Florida! I have never been, and what a nice 50th birthday treat! A chance to work out with Teresa Tapp and meet all the wonderful ladies on the forum!

Really tempted to take my measurements but I'm going to wait until Monday to do so. I'm sure I'll be pleased :)

Off to brush and shower...

Day 8

Today is day 8 of my 14 day bootcamp for the T-Tapp 60 day contest.

Mini-max 2, brushing and shower is done. Will do OIP-HF and Ladybugs tonight...and of course PBS.

Yesterday was soooo much fun! We hiked about a mile and then had a wonderful picnic. I did eat a little chicken and had strawberry shortcake too. Afterwards we played dominoes and we all won two games each. It was a hot day and perfect for a picnic.

Today my son starts flag football camp and his friend Eric will be going with him. Camp is from 9 to 12 and Eric will be staying all day with us every day this week. Noah is so excited!

Tonight I'm fixing a huge salad and pizza. My guys say that I make the BEST pizza :)

I'm feeling really good and know I have lost inches this week. Do not want to measure until the end of two weeks but I did step on the scales and have dropped 2 pounds! I like that :)

Day 7

One full week of T-Tapping everyday for my 14 day bootcamp and today is day 7 of the T-Tapp contest.

This mornings workout is done. I had a hard time getting my leg up for the advanced hoe-down portion and during EOT I was stumbling through it on my left side but on my right side I got through every one. I am feeling the workout today...

Seven more days of bootcamp and then I go to every other day. I may shorten my bootcamp to 12 days to give myself a rest before I measure again for the two week check in. Besides we are going camping that weekend so just may limit my workout to PBS, Hoe Downs and OIP/HF with Lady Bugs.

Last nights dinner was so good. I had marinated Tri-tip in a combination of teriyaki and my Garlic-Hot pepper olive oil. It was so tender and juicy. The flavor was incredible! Instead of baked potatoes we had grilled potato wedges that I had marinated in the same oil. Steamed broccoli with a little lemon and butter and of course a couple glasses of Merlot rounded out our dinner. I ended up not making the chocolate cream pie but I did make a pie crust and used it for Ice Cream Pie. Just a slice of pie crust with caramel and chocolate sauce dribbled on it, a scoop of Ice cream topped with whipped cream. My guys love it. I had a very small dinner eating mostly broccoli as I found myself not very hungry and skipped the dessert. I also skipped the dishes! So that was the first thing I did this morning.

I also dipped fresh strawberries in chocolate and got them in the refrigerator as a special Fathers Day gift to my husband and to my Father In Law. To bad my Dad lives in Las Vegas as I know how much he would enjoy these!

Today we head to Indian Grinding Rock for a Fathers Day picnic. I'm bringing lots of raw vegetables and some grapes. I also made a macaroni salad with tomatoes and we will pick up some KFC. Mother in Law is bringing salad and deviled eggs. KFC is not my choice. It's what the guys want and what the heck it's their day :) I doubt if I will eat any but we will see when the time comes :) I did make up some strawberries and got some angel food cake so we can have strawberry shortcake for dessert.

It's Fathers Day and that's a reason to celebrate!

Day 6

Done with day 6 of my 14 day bootcamp for the T-Tapp contest!

Started today by sleeping in till 5:20am. Did PBS and then husband and I played 2 sets of tennis with my in-laws. As soon as I got home I did mini-max 2, brushed and showered. I feel good though a bit tired after all that.

We won both sets of tennis but they gave us a run for our money on the second set. They are both pretty good for being in their 70's and a year ago they would beat us regularly. We all worked up a good sweat in the sun though and had fun.

Last night I made Lemon chicken and rice with asparagus drizzled with garlic and red pepper olive oil. Had ice cream with hot fudge for desert and yessiree I had mine topped with whipped cream! It was Fun Friday after all :)

My husband and I follow "The Warrior Diet" plan. Or rather, our version of it. We eat only raw fruits and vegetables, lots of water and maybe some almonds or Brazil nuts during the day. I often don't eat anything at all. Then in the evening we have a 4 hour window where we can fill ourselves up with a healthy dinner and can even have dessert. We almost always start with a big salad and then vegetables and protein and save our carbs for last. But not always :) We both love eating in this fashion and have found after we adjusted to it our energy really increased. First thing in the morning we drink 1 teaspoon of sole-brine in a glass of water. I have found T-Tapp and the Warrior Diet to be a very good combination. It's a lifestyle...not a diet!

Tonight we are having a Fathers Day dinner and tomorrow we will take his parents on a picnic and easy hike. On the menu for tonight is Tri-trip, baked potatoes, bread for dipping in balsamic vinegar and olive oil and probably steamed broccoli. I'm even going to make a chocolate cream pie!

The T-Tapp workout is really doing its job. I have a long ways to go to reach my goal but you know what they say...one day at a time :)

Day 5

Just finished my workout for Day 5 of the T-Tapp 60 day Contest and boy am I sweating!

What a good workout I had! I even got through a couple of Eye of the Tigers without falling over...those are toughies for me. I put on weighted shoes for the entire workout so got a little extra boost with that.

I woke up feeling like I was de-toxing a bit so went back to sleep for awhile...hah! I slept till 10am! It was good for me though as I have been waking up so darn early lately and have been trying to get myself to sleep until at least 5am. Woke up at 4 and back to sleep at 7. So three extra hours should help get me back on track. Lately I have been waking at 2:30-3am...wide awake and ready for my day. Of course then I'm sleeping by 8 (and one night at 7!) I do like to wake up early though :)

Noah and I had such fun at the fair yesterday. He had pizza, cotton candy and ice cream. I indulged in a frozen mocha and we both went on a ride together.

I made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans for dinner. I started with a huge salad and had just a small portion of everything else.

We watched a couple of old Wild Wild West episodes we got from Net-flix. I skipped my evening PBS/OIP-HF/LB routine in favor of quality time with my handsome husband ;)

Today is Fun Friday as we like to call it and I have no doubt that it will be!

Here is a picture of Noah getting ready for a ride at the fair. He looks a little nervous because he is! He only likes rides that "go fast and stay on the ground".

Day 4

Day 4 of T-Tapp 60 day challenge!

Workout done for the day. I have even brushed and showered!

Today was not as hard as yesterday but I really worked up a sweat and focused on form. Have a way to go before I can get that Eye Of the Tiger move down but at least I'm not tumbling over any more!

Today, my son and I are going to the fair and I'm in a perfect mood for it. It's going to be such fun! My husband doesnt care for fairs but I grew up on a farm and "The Fair" was a big part of my summer fun. It's going to be just me and Noah. Yep..that's him.

Didnt have meatloaf last night. Instead we had salad, ham and cheese sandwiches and french fries. I skipped the ham and cheese and had tomato, onion and cheese broiled on top. Yum! Love those sweet onions!

Will do PBS, OIP/HF and Ladybugs before bed.

And tonight we will have meatloaf...I promised Noah...it's his favorite afterall.....

Wednesday, June 14, 2006

Day 3

Did PBS this morning and then Mini-max 2 at 3pm.
Stuck to clean eating all day and got lots of water in.
Pretty sore today but made it through the workout. Tomorrow is bootcamp day 4 so should be easier.
Had take out Chinese last night and then we did a family hot tub. Slept really good and woke up at 3:33AM ready to start my day.
Meatloaf for dinner tonight with salad right from our garden.
Will do PBS, Ladyfrogs and OIP/HF before bed.

Tuesday, June 13, 2006

Day 2

Got workout done between 3-4. Mini Max 2 again with extra PBS and hoe downs through the day. Really got a nice sweat going today. I was able to get through about 90% of the workout giving 100% today. I love this workout.

Kind of a stressful day with the roofers banging overhead but worked out despite them and it will just be a couple of more hours with them here. They have been here since 6:45AM and I will be so glad when the new roof is in.

With the cooler than normal weather we are having today it is a good day to be a roofer I suppose.

Sounds like a good night to jump in the hot tub with very cool, sexy, handsome husband :) Maybe he'll suggest eating out tonight and I can skip the cooking too!

A woman can dream can't she?

Day 1

Day 1 of T-Tapp contest.

I'm entering in the More to Lose category. I'm up for the challenge and motivated to win! I'm going to use a variety of tapes but will focus on my torso area.

7am - Mini Max 2

Good workout for me. Only second time I have done it and the first time I did not get all the way through. I had to struggle to keep up and paused a few times but kept at it. Did probably 80% at about 75% power. It will take me a little while to catch on to this tape but I really feel energized this morning.

I'll do an evening routine of PBS, Ladybugs and OIP/Halfrogs.

Full workout for 14 days and then every other day until I reach goal.
